Everything you
need to know

How far is the cabin from Lake Gregory?+
Lake Gregory is a 5-minute walk from the cabin door. No car needed — just stroll down and enjoy the beach, kayaks, fishing, floating cabanas, and the walking trail. The lake is open summer through fall with full rentals on-site. Visit lakegregory.com for hours and rental info.
Are pets allowed at the cabin?+
Yes! Maple & Pine warmly welcomes pets. Dogs are especially welcome — there’s a dedicated dog park right at Lake Gregory just a 5-minute walk away. Please notify us in advance and note that a pet fee may apply. Check the current Airbnb listing for the latest pet policy.
How far is skiing from the cabin?+
Snow Valley Mountain Resort is just 20 minutes away and is perfect for families and a quick ski day. Big Bear’s larger resorts (Snow Summit and Bear Mountain) are about 45 minutes. We recommend checking conditions before heading up in winter. Snow chains may be required on mountain roads December through March.
How far is the cabin from Los Angeles?+
Crestline is approximately 75 minutes from downtown Los Angeles, 60 minutes from the San Fernando Valley, and 90 minutes from Orange County. It’s significantly closer than Big Bear (which is 2+ hours from LA) making it the ideal Southern California mountain weekend escape.
How does check-in work?+
Check-in is completely self-guided with a keypad entry — no need to meet anyone in person. Check-in time is 4:00 PM and check-out is 11:00 AM. You’ll receive a detailed arrival guide with the door code and all cabin instructions before your stay. Lilah is always available by message if you need anything.
How many guests can the cabin sleep?+
Maple & Pine sleeps up to 8 guests comfortably across 3 bedrooms: a king master suite, a queen bedroom, and a kids room with bunk beds that sleep 4 children. A pack & play is also available for infants. The cabin is ideal for families, two couples traveling together, or a group of friends.
Is there WiFi and is it good for remote work?+
Yes — high-speed fiber WiFi covers the entire cabin including all three floors. The cabin also has a dedicated remote work station with an electric sit/stand desk and stunning forest views. Many of our guests have successfully worked remotely while enjoying the mountain environment. Video calls work great.
Do I need snow chains to get to the cabin?+
During winter months (typically December through March) snow chains or AWD/4WD is strongly recommended and may be required by law after heavy snowfall. We always recommend keeping chains in your car for mountain drives in winter. Check Caltrans conditions at quickmap.dot.ca.gov before heading up.
Is there parking at the cabin?+
Yes — the cabin includes a private enclosed garage plus additional driveway parking. There is space for multiple vehicles. Street parking is also available nearby. No parking fees or permits needed.
Is the cabin suitable for young families and toddlers?+
Absolutely. The cabin was designed with families in mind. We have a pack & play for infants, a high chair, fireplace guards, and toys available. The kids bunk room sleeps 4 children. Lake Gregory nearby has a dedicated playground, splash areas, and a shallow beach perfect for young children. Lilah is a mother of three and has thought of everything.
